Pick the ski resort your whole group wants to hit
Ski trips split along skill lines. The strong skiers want steep terrain, the beginners want wide green runs and a warm lodge, and someone cares mostly about après. Put the resorts in a Rankd and let everyone rank them privately. The mountain that wins is the one the whole group can enjoy, not just the best skier in the chat.
- Park City, Utah

Why ranking beats a regular poll here
- A beginner can rank the expert-heavy mountain last without dragging down the whole trip.
- Lift tickets and lodging vary a lot by resort, and nobody sees who ranked the pricey one low.
- The full order gives you a fallback if the winner has thin snow the week you want to go.
How it works
- Add the question and 3 to 30 options
- Send one private link to the group
- Everyone ranks privately, in about a minute
- You reveal the winner
Tips
- If people already own a season pass, add it to the option name, like “Breckenridge (Epic).”
- Add a trail-map photo to each resort so beginners can see how much green terrain there is.
- Pick the mountain before anyone books lodging or flights.
Questions
Should we rank the resort or the dates first?
If several people own season passes, rank resorts first, since the pass usually narrows the list. If everyone is buying day tickets, lock the weekend with a date rank first, then pick the mountain.
Can people see how I ranked?
No. Each person’s order stays private. Everyone sees the group’s final order and where they personally landed, never anyone else’s individual ranking.
Is it free? Does everyone need the app?
Rankd is free and runs in the browser, so there is nothing to download. Friends open the link from any group chat (iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email) and rank in about a minute.
