What should we play at game night?
Game night can lose its first hour to choosing a game. Send a Rankd with the shortlist before everyone arrives, and start with the game the group ranked highest overall. The ranked order also tells you what to play next.
- Catan
- Codenames
- Ticket to Ride
- Mario Kart
- Poker
Free. Edit the options, then send one link to your group.
Why ranking beats a regular poll here
- You start playing sooner.
- A game nobody hates beats a game half the table dreads.
- The full order sets up the rest of the night.
How it works
- Add the question and 3 to 12 options
- Send one private link to the group
- Everyone ranks privately, in about a minute
- You reveal the winner
Tips
- Include player count in the name if it matters (“Codenames (4+)”).
- Run a fresh Rankd each month as your collection changes.
Questions
Do people need an account?
Friends sign in with Google to lock in their ranking, which keeps it one ranking per person. It takes a few seconds.
Can people see how I ranked?
No. Each person’s order stays private. Everyone sees the group’s final order and where they personally landed, never anyone else’s individual ranking.
Is it free? Does everyone need the app?
Rankd is free and runs in the browser, so there is nothing to download. Friends open the link from any group chat (iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email) and rank in about a minute.
