Rankd vs Doodle
Doodle is great at one question: when can everyone meet? Most group plans also need the other answers, like where to go, what to do and which option the group actually wants. That is what Rankd is for.
| Doodle | Rankd | |
|---|---|---|
| Main question | When can everyone meet? | Which option does the group want most? |
| How people answer | Mark which times work | Put the options in order |
| Best for | Scheduling meetings and events | Restaurants, trips, activities, names, menus |
| Result | The time that works for the most people | The option the group ranked highest overall |
Which one should you use?
- Use Doodle when you need to find a meeting time across calendars.
- Use Rankd when you already have a date (or are about to) and need the group to pick the place, the plan or the theme.
Questions
Can I use Rankd to pick a date?
Yes, for a short list of dates: add each date as an option and everyone ranks them. For finding a time across many calendars, a scheduling tool like Doodle is the better fit.
Do people need an account?
People sign in with Google once so each person ranks once. It takes a few seconds.
Is Rankd free?
Yes. Rankd is free and runs in the browser, so nobody needs to download an app. People open the link from any chat or email and rank in about a minute.
