Let coworkers rank the finalists for employee of the year

Employee of the year is usually decided in a leadership meeting, and coworkers find out who won with no idea how. A peer vote changes that. Once nominations close, add the finalists to a Rankd and send the link company-wide by email, Slack or Teams. Everyone ranks the finalists privately from a work computer or phone. Leadership can announce the result as the people’s choice, or use it as one input alongside its own decision.

Questions

Should finalists get to vote?

Yes. Finalists rank the whole list like everyone else. With the whole company ranking, one person putting themselves first barely moves the total.

Can people see how I ranked?

No. Each person’s order stays private. Everyone sees the group’s final order and where they personally landed, never anyone else’s individual ranking.

Is it free? Does everyone need the app?

Rankd is free and runs in the browser, so there is nothing to download. Friends open the link from any group chat (iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email) and rank in about a minute.
